Stockholm, Sweden....
So today we went boating in the late afternoon around Stockholm... we all met Daniel at a park by Hornstull on the west side of Soder on lake Malaren. Parts of Stockholm have salt water and parts have fresh water. We went cruising around today in the fresh water areas. Daniel has a few boats and most of them are docked south east of Stockholm a bit in a salt water port. Thats where he has his sailboat etc.
Today was a cruise around the city on a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Here are a bunch pics from the ride....

This is where alot of people dock wooden boats...all lined up along the protected waterways between a few of the smaller islands...
After leaving those small waterways it opens up as you head towards Gamla Stan. Its was a bit choppy today..the island to on the right is Sodermalm.
On the northern edge of Sodermalm below the cliffs is an old brewery. "Munchen Bryggeriet" I guess the would use the fresh water from the lake in the brewery...
This island is called RiddarHolmen. It is just west of Gamla Stan (old town). The Church is Riddarholmens Kyrka. That boat is now a restaurant and it doesn't leave the dock anymore....
It got a bit choppy down there by the old town.. and Klas got a bit soaked....
A couple of shots of Stads Huset (City Hall) located on the Kungsholmen island. This is where they hold the ball and dinner for the Nobel Prize recipients each year... It is pretty amazing inside.. and there is something about it that kind of reminds me of Venice...The Three Crowns on top are a symbol of Sweden....
Just a couple of cool building on the waterway north of city hall....

Just thought this tree growing out into the water was pretty cool.. That church in the background is on Sodermalm close to where we started...
We took a break here at one of the public docks ..just west of the Stadshuset....
It really is a city of bridges.....
Through this one you can see the old town.. and the city hall on the left...
We had a great sunset towards the end.....
And one last parting shot......
