Stockholm, Sweden August 9th, 2007...

Just wanted to say that I had Miso soup and Sushi today! and I was totally satisfied.... I had been missing it...I was just walking down the street minding my own business when the Sushi restaurant sucked me in.... not that I am complaining..

Look Mom, I still eat my Miso soup....

I got a mixed plate for a pretty good price... :)

you know you are jealous.....unless you are one of those crazy people who don't like sushi.....I am very sad for those people... very sad.... haha

Stockholm Sweden, July 29th, 2007.... .

Tall Ships Race!!

About a week and a half ago..(yeah i am way behind in these blogs..i know...)

There was a tall ships race in Stockholm. Boats came from all over the world and were docked right downtown for a few days... a bunch of us went down there late at night to check them out. There were parties on most all of the boats and tons of people were out and about.

Hanna and Daniel in front of a very large ship from Mexico. That must have been quite the journey. All the ships officers and crew were walking about the piers in their uniforms. It seemed to be quite the party on board with lots of lights all over and dancing with Mexican music... made me long for some good Mexican food..its been a while....

A couple of ships with a view of the amusement park across the bay...

Here you can see how many ships there were..as far as the eye can see... It made me wonder what it must have been like to live in the time when it was normal to travel in boats like these...It must have been quite a sight...

Here is another view of the boat from Mexico... it was the festive boat... you can see a bit of downtown Stockholm in the background...

What good is all this walking around if you can't stop and pick up some treats.... Sweden + Candy = BEST EVER......

Fire Throwers from Poland... we stopped a while to watch as they swung the fire round and round... it got to be a bit hypnotic... pretty amazing...

They really knew how to draw a crowd...

Here is a view of the ships from the other side of the bay...you can easily see how lit up the ship from Mexico was... We saw also ships from Russia, Germany, England, Sweden, Norway and pretty much all over the world..

The moon came out.. pretty amazing... :)

Here were are now walking along Gamla Stan (old town).. the ships lined every pier in the bay...

Looking across the bay at the National Museum...

Its pretty unusual to see so many boats in front of the palace.. made for an awesome view...

Just one more shot of the moon.... :)
